Chums - just heard the Luminiare gig is all sold out. So if you ain't got your ticket yet, that's it!

We saw him at End of the Road last night, where he went down very well, playing with an excellent 6 piece band!

Psychogirl! That was the embarassing song! I never in a million years thought he'd play that... ah sad to say he got more and more special as the gig went on. You missed Cold Swedish Winter, You Can Call Me Al (I think this was after you left anyway... what a cover), The Opposite of Hallelujah, Black Cab, Pocketful of Money, Julie... all stunning. It was an amazing gig and one which will linger long in the memory. A special night indeed.

Even more special for bumping into him in the bog... I open the cubicle door and there he is waiting to pounce in after me... Good job I hadn't been on the curries the night before, he'd have walked into a hatecrime...

Lovely gig in Dublin last night too, although he did say that he was glad to be out of the UK.. what did you lot do to him?!

Owen Pallett is in town at the moment (played a disappointing gig at Vicar Street the night before), so he got up and did a few songs with him - Maple Leaves was sublime). Unfortunately I don't think even JL can make that Paul Simon song cool, though..

Anyway, I knew I should have stuck around afterwards. The two of them did an impromptu set in the little lane beside the venue when the main gig had finished.
