hmmmm. i've heard it a bit too much for my liking. i can't help feeling there's something immensely wrong about it... i dunno. it just annoys me. i can't stand the singer's inflections and over annunciating. why is everybody on the radio suddenly all glottal stopping like a crazy? it all seems so del-lib-er-ut. celebra' the irony? no thanks |

Quite right. It’s only a matter of time before they use Joy Division in adverts. Can’t see them selling jeans but you could get one of those daytime adverts about life insurance: a shot of a girl on a swing, her parents behind her; cut to same shot where the father is missing and the girl is swaying sadly; suddenly there's music and Ian Curtis intones “love, love will tear us apart” as DCI Meadows from the Bill says “life is unpredictable; don’t be left swinging in the wind by the loss of a partner – take out Salford insurance”. *sigh* where's Tony Tourette when you need him? |
