As many countries play league as union! Trouble is there are only three decent sides in the world. Hang on that's the same as Union as well!

Just me then. Ok it's not footy but the weekend was amazing. Unpredictable results, matches that are competitive till the end and of course our good friends from the southern hemisphere got a good pasting, which is always nice to see (especially with the Aussies!). may amuse though. |

Interesting to see that the New Zealanders are such excellent sportsmen. In a multiple choice test at the airport on the way home, guess which answer they ticked to explain their defeat: (a) the French were the better team; (b) the All Blacks bottled it (again); (c) the perfidious English ref cheated and gave the French all the decisions, robbing the Kiwis of the win. Still, they now get back to their favourite sheep quicker. |

Maybe that's exactly what we should do, encourage sports that nobody else plays, and then proclaim it as the world series, like the Americans do. The rugby union/league differences should have been sorted years ago though - it's a bit like the Lib Dems and Liberals. |
