When the English stop thinking that Gerrard is a world class playmaker then their expectations might be adjusted. The guy couldn't get in a French or Italian team, and if he had by accident of birth been born in Argentina then he'd be warming the bench for Boca Juniors Juniors. It's not just Gerrad though but he seems to be the one no one has whipped ...yet. |

Agreed. Gerrard was shocking last night.... I'm not fan of John Terry, but maybe his captaincy was missed last night (if not his slow-motion defending) |

if we don't qualify for Euro '08 it's because Mclaren took two games too long to find his nuts. the next England coach should be Jose Mourinho. he gets results, has experience dealing with PL players, actually enjoys the English press and would bring that bit of confidence back into the squad. if not Mourinho, then someone who plays good football. |

I would shit myself with delight if Jose (Mourinho, not you mate, although I'm sure you'd do a better job than McClaren...) got appointed. Fuck yeah. Give him 2 years to build a World Cup winning side... you know it. Failing that, outside shot at Martin Jol for England boss...? |
