after meeting up with the motley assortment that is the soundsxp contingent on friday, i've now realised how completely and utterly out of sodding touch i am with the new fangled music scene! in fact, this year has probably been my worst for buying/discovering new music, so i'm throwing this thread open to you finger snapping hipsters to point me in the direction of some groovy new bands/tunes. so, if you could recommend one new album/band for me to check out, what would it be? |

Of Montreal (weird psychedlic/funk/indie x-over) or Beirut (Eastern tinged orchestral indie) for the album. For a cheap but good night out seeing a band in a lickle venue then SixNationState are hard to beat. Eclectic indie/cowpunk. |
