johnny anarchy, with the fake baby thing, she did do a video call to the kid with the doll and showed it to him. in all fairness, the kid was pretty cool about it. he just said 'it's a doll you numbnuts'. good reponse i thought! i liked the extras christmas special. a lot of it wasn't that funny, but i think it was supposed to be more poignant really. maybe they got the balance wrong a bit, but overall i thought it worked. the only grating thing is ricky gervais's high horse thing when it comes to celebrity culture. he thought he was a modern day hamlet with the monologue in the big brother house! it was a bit much, but the relationship between him and maggie is still very touching. not as good as the office christmas special but i still enjoyed it. and bovine, the bits he does backstage are all scripted. i think his whole public persona is made up to be honset. |
