Totally agree about Arsenal's reserves. If I was to place the best 12 teams at the moment it would be: Man United 1st team Arsenal 1st team Chelsea 1st team Liverpool 1st team Arsenal reserves Man United reserves Chelsea reserves Everton Liverpool reserves City Villa Spurs And that is an appalling state of affairs. |

This "big four" thing is clearly not for the game but I think other teams in the top flight have been complicit in creating this apparent gulf between them and the rest. Take United at Villa on Saturday. In a league game you could (just about) justify Villa playing for a dull point. But Villa were in a cup game, they were at home, they were in a good run of form and I doubt they wanted a replay either. Why not just give it a go? Were they really that afraid of getting a spanking from one of the fearsome "big four"? Compare this attitude to some of the lower league teams. Glad to be getting some exposure, they just went out and gave it a go - hence the various Premiership casualties over the weekend. And as for Uniteds second XI. The sixth best team in the country you say? They were whacked at home by Coventry in the Carling Cup not that long ago. My point (at last) is this: don't believe the hype about the so called "big four". They're like any other team .. they don't like it up 'em!! |

I think you're all forgetting the mighty Southend United! |
