I give you the evidence: The 2 recent half hour sitcoms, one starring Steve Mangan, the other Jack Dee. Both astarring anti-social middle class misfits in relationships who keep cocking things up... Basically Curb Your Enthusiasm set in North London. Neither are crap but laughs are sparce and it's only the actors involved that make you think they're worth perservering with. And don't get me started on that sketch show Little Miss Jocelyn... abysmal. It's original in that she's a black woman with her own show but it's total garbage. Makes me long for Little Britain... that's how bad it is. |

I would like to chime in here with my first comment of the year. Hello. Danielle Ward (The Loves' bassist & comedy person) & I were asked to write a pilot script for Channel 4 last year. But they rejected it when they saw the finished thing. Bah. We had meetings with the head of Channel 4 comedy & Henry Normal of Baby Cow & everything. So we (or rather her agency) took it to the BBC & they said "They'd already commissioned comedy in a similar vein" to ours. But apparently it all comes down to who you know. Little Miss Jocelyn's dad must have invented television. |

Alan’s got a new show in the pipeline called “Banned on the Run,” in which he goes jogging with athletes who have been banned from sport for testing positive for drug abuse. Theme tune by Wings (the band the Beatles could have been) |

I hope this is true, Matty, or have you just had a moment of pure comedy genius there? P.S - you know how I feel about the Wings and Beatles and how the former pissed all over the latter (not literally, well unless Paul likes pissing on himself) |

I once had an idea that Partridge could do a "Strike It Lucky/Rich" style show called "The Winner Takes It All" (continuing the Abba theme of "KMKYWAP") I also heard that they were planning on doing a 1 off version of "Skirmish" his military based quiz show on UK Conquest for either some diseased charity or Christmas. |
