Pointless dedication to a Gooner who carried on cheering his team last night even though they got thoroughly tonked. Thing is how difficult is it really to be an Arsenal fan? One heavy defeat after years of beating your arch rivals AND winning countless cups. Where's the dedication in that? I'd be more impressed by a feature on a, say Wrexham fan, cheering on his team despite a heavy defeat to Chester or Shrewsbury. Just another daft story plucked out by the Premier League obsessed media. |

But then we all feel the pain when our team loses, no matter who they may be - but agree on the general pointlessness of running such a story. Fair weather fans are truly annoying though, don't you think?????? ![]() |

Apparently even some of the Arsenal directors left after 70 minutes. With that sort of commitment from the board, no wonder it was considered news worthy that Arsenal still have a supporter! ![]() |

City beat United 5-1 about 20 years ago. It didn't change anything. Neither will Tuesday's result. |

Cheers Twisted, 1989, I seem to recall running the gamut of emotions before I realised I was being told it was CITY 5 - UTD 1, and then getting all philosophical about lifes ups and downs... Still, water under the bridge 'n' all that, hasn't been too bad since ![]() |

The memory of that 5-1, and the ability to raise it at every opportunity, was tainted by the subsequent 5-0 Kanchelskis show about 13 years ago. ![]() United are another team that can never be put in the loyal fan category. I remember some 50 something cockney red saying "I've supported them through thick and thin..." Yeah right, so you got releagted once in the early 70s and the rest of the time it's been an average of a trophy every season... That's very thin... And he was a fat bastard. ![]() |

The Rags coding had been removed but now only kicks in when gloryseekers post. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll be honest with you. I'd swap the 'joy' of last day avoidance of relegation for the occasional trophy especially as unfortunately we often don't win on that last day.... The summer is a bloody long time when your team's just been relegated. |
