It's not about money though, obviously... |

This is such a transparently shit idea that I'm going to do my usual job of wondering what it might be that they really want to do which will look reasonable by comparison when they unveil it at the "annual summer meeting in June". |

They complain about fatigue and fixture congestion then introduce something that will involve the players travelling halfway round the planet and back for one fixture... |

Game Over. I have even less interest and respect for that over paid, over pampered league now. So much so, can we ring fence off the greedy buggers at the top and not let promotion for the real football teams playing in the leagues below. It's just become a money making monstrosity. Football has no soul, this proves it. How is a season ticket holder at Wigan or Man City or I dunno, Sunderland gonna feel about having one of their teams games on the otherside of the world. There are still fans that try and go to all games. This is a disgusting proposal. Shoot the fucker that came up with it. |

The Premier league is now an exhibition league as per the NBC in the states. Even more shocking is that in Rugby League relegation will no longer happen for the next three years whilst a franchise scheme is introduced. One player remarked that relegation should not happen as it's peoples livelihoods at stake! I am sure the Premier league are looking on with interest. |

Seriously, they aren't going to do this - certainly not by adding 10 games at random. I wouldn't be surprised to see overseas games though - I'd be particularly unsurprised to see the Premier League clubs dropping out of the League Cup in order to make room in the calendar for an end of season ice hockey/rugby league style Premier League Trophy featuring the top 8, played at various venues, including overseas. Still a shit idea, but would look more attractive if compared to what's just been floated here wouldn't it? |

United fans saw this coming a while off ... Also, when the NFL were over here for the Giants - Dolphins game, they had a big conference with the Premier League suits on this very subject. Manchester's an arse to get to for a Sunday game, but its preferable to Tampa!! |
