Post subject: | Another Sunny Day indiepop club - Stockholm |
Another Sunny Day starts on 7 April and will run weekly at The Sugarbar in Stockholm (www.sugarbar.se). Live bands & djs will play indiepop, swedish indie, 60s pop, french pop, britpop & northern soul. April & May dates are all now booked up and details are on my MySpace calendar - www.myspace.com/indiepopstockholm. If anyone is visiting Stockholm, it'd be great to see you there. I also need guest dj's each week so if you know anyone that might be interested, please send them my way! Cheers. |

I think it's about 3 or 4 hours on a train. The fares are very cheap though as my first live act for 7 April has booked a ticket - about £17 return! I'm already doing this sort of thing in England....I run Pop Klubb up in Newcastle (www.myspace.com/popklubb) and I'm moving to Stockholm! |

I was planning on going to Sweden but I could only stay with my mate in Gothenburg you see... kinda rules that out. Good luck with your move! |

Standard intercity trains gothenburg to stockholm takes just under 5 hours and cost about £50 return. You can take the high speed intercity service which is about £10 more and it only takes about 3 hours. Train sevices in Sweden are brilliant - delays are virtually unknown, and the intercity service is very frequent. GB is a great city (better and a lot cheaper than SH), and there's plenty of music and clubs to enjoy. Personnally, I'd only do a couple of days in SH to see the sights, and stay outside - Upsala or Lynskoping (scuse the spelling) and go into town just for the day. Upsala is very cool - especially on the 30th April when the massive Uni kicks out for the summer and it all goes a bit mental! Try to be there for that - a brilliant day all round. Let me know when you're going over Westie and I'll make enquiries with my Sverge friends as to whats happening in GB when you're there. |

i went to stockholm last year and really liked it, but did find it difficult to know where to go for indiepop action so it is good to know this exists flights were quite cheap and the hotel wasnt too much. if you could take eating and drinking out of the equation it wouldnt cost too much at all |
