Good old Holland: Arsenal's Robin van Persie and Real Madrid star Wesley Sneijder clashed in training ahead of the Netherlands' Euro 2008 game with Italy. (Daily Mirror) Not the same without bitter squad infighting... 
No doubt some of you will have seen this before but 's a prediction by the BBC from 2003 about why England will win the 2008 Euros... Oops. Neil Mellor is named as one of the promising fringe back-up players along with... Darius Vassell. *cough* |

Bloody pundits. ITV are the worst culprits - David Pleat is both boring and boringly obvious. And as for Gary Neville! The dullest voice and a face that competes with Andy Townsend's suit for the ugliest thing on TV. His facial hair is beyond description. |

I watched a game last night. 1st one since Euro 96. The orange team beat the blue team. One of the blue team had facial hair and has weird eyes. He looked a bit crazy in the coconut. then they interviewed an Italian gentleman who is now the manager of a non european team. My friend tells me he learnt english in 5 was doing very well considereing i know no other lanuage appart from very little Turkish and Punjabi. It was a good game. The Blue ones looked like they were going to cry though. |

The Italian who had the facial hair & crazy eyes was the spit of special effects genius Tom Savini. My grandfather is Portugeuse so I will be supporting Portugal. & by supporting I mean if they get to the final I might watch it. Other than that meh...if it's on when I'm having tea at the girlfriend's so be it. If it's not I am quite happy to watch Coronation Street instead. |
