Post subject: | Songwriting partnerships |
Was having a good pub-based conversation yesterday about songwriting partnerships. How the tension between the personalities makes for some sparkling tunesmithery etc. (and how they’re invariably a bit rubbish when one ventures out on their own). We got through Lennon/McCartney, Strummer/Jones, Morrissey/Marr etc. plus those weird ones that are split between music and lyrics (Elton John/Taupin, Bachcarach/David etc.) But what other ones are worthy of mention? |
