Well I never listen to XFM so I can't comment. The kids like them and that's who they are marketed at. Mind you this time next year it will be another load of chancers selling the forum out for two nights whilst The Wombats fade from history. |

I have to take issue with the mention of The Boo Radleys here. Giant Steps is a brilliant album especially 'Lazarus'. |

Oh who cares? Yes they're probably shite, but then don't listen to them. I've never knowingly heard the pigeon detectives, though I think i heard the Wombats once (did they do that dacning to joy division song?) I've not exactly found them hard to avoid. What harm are they doing? If anyone thinks they're displacing the audience for good bands then they're sorely mistaken. I long since discovered that the reason most people don't listen to the stuff I like is not lack of exposure but because most people think it's shit. |
