spring IS here! spring has sprung!

spent the afternoon in London Fields playing footy with my good mate, Jimmy (and two random 12 yr old Hackney urchins who asked to join in). then had a few drinks in Cat & Mutton OUTSIDE, WITHOUT COATS ON! then cycled to practise WITHOUT COAT ON, then few drinks with lovely Lucy afterwards (not sat outside, it was cold by then).

it feels so nice to be in on a Friday night and tired out. now i can approach the inevitable oblivion of a Saturday night with a slight sense of self satisfaction

i fucking Love the Sun.

Well indeed - this photo was taken near where I live on Easter Sunday last year (genuinely).

As for airports, it's all desperation to have a name something of international recognition in our anonymous part of the world (there's no point in having "where the fuck's that?" airport, no-one would fly there).

So East Midlands airport added "Nottingham" to its name despite being largely in Leicestershire 'cos the world had heard of Nottingham ('cos of Robin Hood), and could pronounce it. (Cue much outrage in Ly-ses-ter-sheer.). Donny, playing the same game, came to a similar conclusion -"Robin Hood" tested just ahead of "Full Monty" I understand.
