How many adverts did their record label place in the NME this year? What do you mean it's based on musical merit! NME - totally feckin irrelevant - let's delete the thread! |

Not sure if this is the readers vote or the mag itself. If the former, Jesus, was 2008 that bad? If the latter, it's the most blatent piece of buying a label's continued advertising revenue ever. |

ughh, maybe 2008 was that bad... Whenever I see that album artwork somewhere it makes me need to vomit... maybe because the album artwork looks like vomit. (Maybe they saved money paying a designer so they could use the money for more advertising) Not that I don't think they have the right to keep coming out with music.... but the best album of 2008? |

It's true that most people in this forum do not look to NME for information... but it's still perplexing to find out Noel Gallagher has been named hero of the year for 2008!?!? haha, along with having the best album of the year as for niche music it has been turning around in the past couple years and is very exciting to see thing slowly change. I was quite confused by the comment about the Cure copying Muse ![]() |
