CHY023: Fever Fever – “Keys in the Bowl / Stage Shoes” (released 25/05/09) Cherryade is delighted to announce its 23rd release, the much-anticipated debut double A-side 7” single ‘Keys In The Bowl / Stage Shoes’ by Fever Fever. Since forming in 2007, this Norwich 3-piece have taken the ever-fertile Norwich music scene by storm with a series of incendiary live shows appearing alongside the likes of Bearsuit, The Brownies, Violet Violet and Joy Formidable. Since then they’ve been wowing audiences over the country and winning new fans wherever they go! In 2008 they appeared on We’re From Norwich vol. 4, the latest in the popular series released on Mummy Where’s The Milkman/Howlback Hum and contributed a track to Cherryade’s annual seasonal compilation, A Very Cherry Christmas Vol.4. Their self-released EP has been causing something of a stir, gaining them airplay from the likes of Radio 1’s Rob Da Bank, 6 Music’s Tom Robinson and XFM’s Jon Kennedy. The fabulous double A-side single ‘Keys In The Bowl / Stage Shoes’ will be released on white 7” vinyl on Monday 25th May and will be available from all good record shops (distributed by Cargo), on iTunes and directly from the Cherryade website at www.cherryademusic.co.uk/buykitb.html. The band will be on tour in May and June to promote the single, please check www.myspace.com/feverfevertheband for dates and further information. What reviewers have said: “The most exciting band to emerge from Norwich this year. The girl/boy/girl loud, observational rantings backed by abrasive guitars and as-tight-as-you-like drumming with onstage in-fighting certainly is addictive hot stuff. Don’t you dare miss them” – Wombat Wombat “3-piece punk-rock spits and snarls, fizzing with riot grrrl attitude. Best new Norwich band for some time” – Wilde Club “Spitting with a latent riot grrl tension and blistered by an edgy austere exterior, they brandish a wicked, evil travel bag of swamp-dragged festering riffage, which unless our ears do deceive sounds not unlike an abrasive fist-fight between the Dolly Mixtures meets Delta 5” – Losing Today |
