What a silly joke that is. He only player about a dozen games. Vidic or Lampard should have won it. And Young won the Young Player only because the vote was taken so early. Ireland should have got it over the 9-10 months. And what was Johnny Evans doing on the short list? |

The fact that VDS made the list despite the fact he's only made about 6 saves all season (as soon as Vidic and Ferdinand are beaten - which isn't very often - the ball will be in the back of the United net. He's past it.) shows how much of a farce it is. Giggs winning it is just really, really funny. Sure, recognise his contribution to the game itself and I'll applaud him all day but this season? He's barely been on the pitch. When he has been he's been good, sure, but Player of the Year standard? Naaaaah... My money was on Vidic but... |

Yep, should've been Vidic (especially as he's found his way out of Torres' pocket again). Love Giggs, but the PFA thing has to be based on the current season. In the name of fairness Ireland should've got the other gong, painful though it is to admit... |

you're all wrong. when the single best player in the PL this season, Nemanja Vidic, was asked who he thought deserved the honour, he answered clearly - 'Ryan Giggs'. and that proves it. |
