Any recommendations? There's something about the female vocals over a cheesy tune that does it for me. I recently picked up a cracking double A-side repress of two tracks from 1967: Delphine - La Fermeture Eclair / Clothilde - Fallait Pas Ecraser La Queue Du Chat 7" Both sides are magnifique but am keen to hear more stuff. All I have in the way of comps is one old Bardot best of and the two more recent Swinging Madamoiselles efforts and all three are superb but I just know there's gotta be a whole host of more great stuff. |

Milchman, I've just looked, actually I've got Ultra Chicks 1 & 3 , not 2 and 4. Oops. I would happily take you up on the offer of vinyl rips tho. I can return the favour with Wizzz! Vols 1 & 2 which are not necessarily all female, and the tracks are more psych, but with a heavy dose of kitsch. I don't know how you all feel about blogs, but I quick search has turned up this: |

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it already but there's a comp called Femmes de Paris thats pretty good .. Some obvious stuff plus some interesting French covers of Paint it Black, Nights in White Satin etc. Its on iTunes I think On a similar note, I bought this great comp recently: |

Swinging Mademoiselles volume 3 out now! (That's volume three in the original vinyl series, not the CDs) Only 1000 copies pressed. The other two disappeared pretty quickly, so get it while you can.
