Always hated the style Council so it didn't surprise me that their tepid white soul was replaced by the even worse bluesy dadrock of his solo work. Vile. But he did produce imho three great albums as the Jam: the clever Kinks-ish All Mod Cons, the more in your face Setting Sons and the varied Sound Affects. I can still listen to all three but All Mod Cons would be my preference. |
