To be fair, Sirallun and Gordon have been pals for a while now, this only formalises the occasional chats the two have been having over the years? I just wonder if Sirallun will have the power to point his gnarly finger at some of the losers around the cabinet table and tell them in no uncertain terms just how shit they are and to fuck off. On the wider reshuffling story, it's beginning to look a bit like the old deckchairs on the Titanic scenario. Never really understood how simply shifting the same old faces around helps to either re-establish the PM's authority or to re-invigorate the govt. Surely if someone's moved from job A to job B it rather implies they weren't that great at job A? Wouldn't it say more for the PM's authority and cred if he/she just got rid of the dead wood? |
