The route up isn't too bad at all, in my opinion - the only prob for me is the stupidly expensive train tickets. This restricted me to only one particular train, instead of an open return which would've been more convenient (and about ten times more pricey). So no blame at all directed towards Indietracks, just the fricking train operators. |

Indietracks is great fun. Easily the best festival I've ever been to. Saying that I think the line up is fairly average this year. But it's still going to be the most fun because of the feel of the festival. The location is out of the way. That's a good thing. The campsite is only 10 minutes down the road. Hardly an inconvenience. And it's a proper campsite which is a bonus. The festival site itself is fabulous (they need more food choices and toilets this year for it to be flawless) and the fact that it is set on a heritage railway is wonderful. Real ale flows freely too. Sack London off for a few days. You won't regret it. As for Teenage Fanclub? Perfect for the festival, I'd agree. But I'm not a fan and don't own a single LP by them these days. The ones I had were sold a long time ago. |

i'd heard rumours of helen love. oh well, off to truck instead then. the fannies have made some great records but a live band they are not. |
