East London is fab.
Buses are best for getting to know the City. Oytser card, a must. Those Sam Smith pubs are good for cheap ale.

I'm moving to London on Saturday. Anyone got any tips for London living? |

Get yourself an Oyster Card, avoid paying cash for any mode of Public Transport, and use the buses rather than the tube whenever poss - best for getting familiar with the city (though walking is always best but maybe save that for a bit). What area you moving to exactly? |

'bout bloody time too. East London seems to be where it's at at the mo, with most new venues springing up there. North London's good. West London's a waste of time. South London's only good if you want to buy a house otherwise you'll spend all your time travelling to go anywhere. Maybe we need a welcome Simon to the Smoke SXP meet-up soon? |

I love the pub in Mile End by the canal, it is GOLD inside. I also second the Victoria for music. The George Tavern isn't far away too. |
