That was soooo sweet. The whinging from the Aussies since has been fantastic... Oh the 12th man came on to dry some gloves.. boo hoo hoo!!! Crying about gamesmanship from a team that sledges its way to victory is pathetic. |

Whilst it was nice to thwart Ponting et al and piss 'em off a bit, no-one can seriously consider the result a good thing. If you'd told me that the test would resolve with Monty fucking Panesar having to limp us over the line for a DRAW even before the first ball was bowled I'd have shaken my head in despair... Thrilling as it was, it's not a good thing. You know things are bad when Steve Harmison's in line for a recall (I don't care how many wickets he's taking at County level, they'll spray him all over the shop at Lords). This new look Aussie team came across as pretty likeable I thought, although quite how their rather unspecial bowling attack troubled us so much is something which doesn't fill me with joy. |
