| Post subject: | Burglaries |
My neighbour was burgled last Friday, within hours of them going on holiday. Now I'm paranoid about making my place safer, even contemplating planting bushes that have loads of thorns on them in the back garden right next to the fences. So have you ever been a victim and did you take extra measures to secure your property? I've been burgled three times - all in other properties. Twice in a ground floor rented flat in Lewisham. The landlord ended up adding bars to all the windows apart from one after the second. I was uninsured for both (lost TV, hifi first time, had nowt of any value second as it was 10 days after first and we were out buying replacement kit!). The third was my garage in Bromley - I lost thousands of CDs and records - was insured but not much consolation. |
