Hehe. They were rubbish. The throw in guys were even worse. Used to hurl the ball about 6 pitches away. And subbuteo rugby was rubbish too. The ball used to always fall out of the little groove in the players base every time he moved. |

I had one of those huge boards too, Fernando, and it was my grandad (or nono as we called him) who made it. It was deemed obsolete when Ken Bailey's Football Express came out, a brilliant, and I don't use the word lightly, 5 a-side version of Subbuteo came out. Christ know why the named it after a famous paedo (well known to any boy growing up in Poole and Bournemouth in the mid to late 70s). Most of my time and money went on Subbuteo between the ages of 14 and 16. Sad fact. |
