While working in a college: Visitor: I've come to look at the main hall. Me: Okay... (to my boss) This man would like to see the main hall. Boss: Okay. Me: (suddenly realising the front doors of the hall were locked) I won't be long, I'm going to take him up the back entrance. My other favourite: My boss: Everything okay? Me: It's okay, there's just a problem with the windows in the girls' toilets. The maintenance man is looking into them. My boss: Sorry? |

Potential misunderstanding. When I was working in a home for people with disabilities and was trying to shave a fella with Down's Syndrome. I was doing the awkward bit just above his lip but he kept moving and talking when I was trying to do so. "...shut your mouth or I'll cut your tongue." Glad nobody heard that out of context. |
