Oh and I've mentioned it before but a colleague swears that when she worked in a Yorkshire benefits office there was an old claimant called Mrs Fanny Batter...

At my previous job, I had a client by the name of Randy Bush....another gem from the US.

I used to have a list of them when I worked at Lloyds Asset Finance but the 3 that stick in my mind are-

Martin McCutcheon
Giovanni Italiano (so obviously a fake name)
Anne Job (there was also an Anne Gunn)

There was a Vietnamese bloke who used to claim at our DHSS office called Monkeywrench Loading Bay. This name seems to be something of an urban myth now but this bloke was genuine as I handed over his giro (cue HMHB song).

We also had Freebird Smith and Hyacinth Bluebell!

At work a while back I had to make a call to some called "Richard Head". I thought maybe the data suppliers were having me on, but no, that was his name. He wasn't much interested in seeing a monitored security system, though - the dickhead.
