Yep. I can just see the video too... <Cuts from cheerful, tanned X Factor candidate with oversized studio headphones to brickdust covered corpse then back to Simon Cowell pushing volume levels on mixing desk to 4 with fake tears rolling down cheeks> Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hmm. What I take umbrage with is the choice of song from a lyrical perspective. That song's all about saying "Yeah, you're a bit down at the moment but, it's fine, we all get like that and you'll be alright soon. Chin up"... Doesn't really apply in this context though, does it... |

I’ve always thought that the charity single model should work the other way round. Cowell puts out a statement saying: “I’ve recorded an absolutely horrendous version of [--Insert much loved song here--] sung by [--latest nauseating talent show wannabe--] and it’ll all over the radio unless everyone in the country donates £1 to [--insert worthy appeal here--].” The charity millions will come rolling in. Alas, it didn’t seem to work when Susan Boyle recorded “Wild Horses” |
