Just spent a fortune doing up the house and yet still it looks like a news report on Haiti. Carpet on the bathroom floor. How unhygienic is that? Piss stained and laced with misplaced clinkers. Pebbledashed walls, front and back - Could do with that Welsh double barreled ponce to turn up and rip the lot down. Too bloody untidy. Boxes everywhere and too many useless CDs and records cluttering every room. I give up. What gets your goat about your hovel, SXP berts? |

Fucking stair gates. Stubbed toes, bruised knees and it's like doing two different rounds of the Krypton factor when you're dashing for a waz. Children's toys constantly underfoot. Get in late from London, leaving the light off so as not to wake anyone up, only to set off twelve things all playing different tinny tunes. Offshot kitchen, so bloody cold that of late the fridge and the freezer have been working in reverse... On the plus side, finally got our act together and put up the shelves to get all the CDs and records in one place, as well as framing the Pete McKee prints I got for Xmas (including a great record shop one), so our attic beroom/study is now lurvely. I might even post a photo later... |

My wife has (and my oldest is showing symptoms too), which means the house is always in a state of chaos. I used to do my best to tidy up, but it reverts to chaos within a day so I just don't bother any more. I find red wine helps me to live with the constant mess. |

Piss-poor TV reception, even with my new freeview box. Watching The Daily Show, for example, is about a 3-1 shot because most days it's just a blur of weird little coloured boxes that sometimes resemble John Stewart. No heating in the bathroom. If I'm going to have a bath I have to put on the gas fire in the bedroom about 2 hours beforehand to give the heat enough time to trickle into the bathroom. No shower in the bathroom. Baths are great, but sometimes the option of a quick shower would be nice. Still, I like the place. |

My flat used to be the top floor of a house, an our front door is at the back of the old house. So all the light switches are at the wrong end, you have to walk through almost all the flat before you can turn the light on, which can be annoying, especially when tired and emotional! And you get to it through an alleyway, so getting food delivered is a nightmare. I think there may be a small civilization of pizza delivery men who never made it out in that alley somewhere. |

My electrics are terrible, when one light bulb blows it takes out the whole ring and when I turn on my grill it trips my whole board. Can't afford to have it rewired so I have to make do with a George Foreman grill. It's a right pain in the arse! |
