I've been in Beanos as it is now and it looks fabulous but not much for the average male music fan - it's all chocs, baby clothes and fascinator headwear. Good luck to it though. |

You been in Pure Groove lately? It’s very different to how it was at first. Now they have shelves of records across the back wall of the “stage”. It’s still not a perfect set up, and it’s not for browsing, but I like it more than I did. They just need to remove the invisible sign that reads “you don’t have to be achingly cool to shop here but it helps”. |

I popped in a few weeks back, and yeah I agree it's improved since its quite farcical Smithfield relaunch.....but it remains a mockery of a record shop to me. Maybe I'm just bitter cos I loved the Archway branch so much. |

Hadn't realised that Pure Groove has now shut too, though I think they intend returning in some format. |
