I saw Kick Ass a couple of days ago and loved it. In particular I thought Nic Cage was actually quite good - something of a rarity these days. I loved the way that when he was in superhero mode he imitated Adam West in Batman. As for the Daily Mail article, what do you expect from a paper that lives and dies by outrageous and untrue headlines. The most interesting part of the review was when Christopher Tookey states that the film "is presented with calculated flippancy, as funny, admirable and (most perversely of all) sexually arousing" which I suspect says a lot more about him that it does the film! |

SHIIIIIIIIT! I kinda agree with the Daily Mail... christ... I obviously don't agree to such a strong degree but I did find the scene with the 11 year old a bit distasteful, and, well, the film wasn't that funny either |

Saw a Canuck film, Defendor, from 2009 last night. Quite similar and very highly recommended. |
