Anyone else want to break into the geordie voice over man from Big Brother* when ever they see this rolling news 'coverage':

Day 3 - The net is closing in.
Day 4 - Police close off Market Town of Rothbery in hunt for killer Raoul Moat
Day 5 - Raoul Moat has not been spotted since Friday - and he seems to be taking the mick out of the police.
Day 6 - The net has been ripped to shreds and the police are starting to look more and more like the keystone cops

is it just me? I thought so.

There's a guy on twitter calling himself "Raoulontherun". He has about a thousand followers already. One recent tweet amongst many:

Knockin' one out over that Kay Burley, like. AH come on, I've been holed up here all week, man!

Laughed quite hard at that.

Raoul Moat: clearly actually Ray Mears

a true Geordie can survive in a tshirt and jeans down to -40deg C so he could be hiding a long while yet. They could try luring him out with a Gregg's pasty.

In terms of public response, I def think Moat's benefitting from "Not Like Derrick Bird" Syndrome. It's hard to understand what Bird did. Moat, on the other hand, shot his ex and hates coppers. Next to Bird, that's nearly normal.

I missed a lot of this story as I was on nights etc, so I don't really know the full details but this bloke is like the Mallory Marx of the North East. He'll definitely end up on celebrity Masterchef.
