Post subject: | African 'dance' music |
Ok this could be the shortest thread ever but I was massively into African music in the 80s, thanks to Peelie digging up some classics and it getting a lot more coverage in the music press than now. I'd be interested in hearing any decent tracks by African acts that have rhythms that you can dance to. The Bhundu Boys were the absolute kings but not alone and Four Brothers produced at least one classic album too. I've also got about another 20 comps of various acts, mainly Zimbabwean and from Soweto. Any more suggestions? The key word is 'dance' so 12 minute wailing dirges by Tunisian 'legends' are of no interest. |
