Certainly worth a visit. It's a medieval city, has a good market, lots of old buildings, good record and book shops and a rather good football stadium. Lots of treasures are hidden away behind other buildings, so you'll need to be prepared to do a lot of investigative walking around the city to find the best cafes and shops. |

The Burnley London Supporters Club say it’s the best drinking town in the football league. I’ve never been but they report it has a variety of good pubs all selling real ales and they’re football-friendly. |
