Didn't that gig get cancelled when The Libertines pulled out? They should be looking to book bands who have something to say on the matter of racism and not just big names to get bums on seats. Like this gig - Europe Against Fascism Billy Bragg will be performing at this Ethical Threads/Love Music Hate Racism event at the Astoria Theatre in London, on 16 October. All proceeds to Unite Against Fascism. Also on the bill are: Karma'Sutra from France, Carbon/Silicon (Mick Jones and Tony James, etc), Hanin Elias, Skitz & Rodney P UK Hip-Hop, and more. Very Special Guests to be announced. The event starts at 6pm/18:00hrs and ends around 10pm/22:00hrs. Tickets £12 from Ticketmaster UK Or half-price bookable in person by European Social Forum delegates only at the Astoria, Charing Cross Road. |
