95% of musicals are rubbish. And 99% of songs written for musicals are rubbish. But this thread's not about them. Just the good ones. And links to the songs please. 1. Good Morning Starshine from Hair 2. Let the Sunshine in from Hair |

I was thinking "OXYMORON ALERT" when I read the title of this thread. Some of Hair was ok though. I doubt this will be a very long thread. |

Let The Sunshine In is badass. I fuckin' HATE musicals in general though. Except for Grease...and The Rocky Horror Picture Show...and Little Shop of Horrors... I love all of those. |

Roller Girl (from Anna) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owhbipZnuCg Written by Serge Gainsbourg. Genius! Carve Up (from Fings Ain't What They Used To Be) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtKo6g_7djI Fucking brilliant! Shook Out Of Shape (fromThe Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq2OsYb9-hQ The World's first monster musical! Plenty of other Ray Dennis Steckler films with great songs, such as Wild Guitar & Eagah, but don't know if the others strictly count as musicals The Girl (with the Vagina Made of Glass) (from The American Astronaut) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-0Vy-Ow ... re=related look out for Annie Golden from The Shirts in the film clip Dance Contest Song (from The American Astronaut) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDqQRuY-Voo Welcome To Mars (from Stingray Sam) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S4N0lthxmU The dancing girls in this clip are fantastic! (Song starts 1minute 18 seconds into clip, but, if you have the time, it's worth watching the whole clip, if only to see Stingray Sam shake hands with the Quasar Kid)) Fredward (from Stingray Sam) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNhXYmJ0G8c Peg-Legged Father Song (from Stingray Sam) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15NCl6T4 ... re=related All the songs from The American Astronaut & Stingray Sam are highly recommended. Big Meat Eater (from Big Meat Eater) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyMAc5QkaWY Mondo Chemico and Baghdad Boogie from the same film are good too. Both are on You Tube, if you care to look. Shut Your Fucking Face Uncle Fucker (from South Park: bigger, Longer, Uncut) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHm83GIq ... tube_gdata |

I realise no-one is likely to check all the links in my last post, but for anybody not familiar, I recommend at least checking out Roller Girl, Carve Up and Peg-Legged Father Song. And if you can stomach one more, Shook Out Of Shape! |

The music/songs in Cry Baby were good. Does that count as a musical? |

Any generation who grew up with this monstrosity will forever have a deep-seated issue with songs from musicals... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3T57_15l ... 0128FB58CB Saw Blood Brothers during the week. Wasn't impressed. |
