Apparently he passed away on Sunday. His band played a part in all those great Track and Field nights in the first half of the 00s at the Arts Café, the Spitz and the like…

Graeme Wilson was a good friend and bandmate, the main man behind The Projects, who released albums on Track and Field and MPLS Ltd. I played drums for his band from 2005 until just this summer. He was a very talented, intelligent, curios kind of chap, who made an impression on most people who met him, and he'll be sorely missed. He was only in his late 30s. He'd had MS for some time, but was still very active, recording - a new Projects LP is out next year - and had started mastering records (the last Comet Gain record for instance) and producing, Teta Mona most recently.

I joined The Projects for a tour of Scandanavia, Germany and Holland, which kicked off with Track and Field Winter Sprinter nights in Norway, and another in Sweden, with Tompaulin and Comet Gain, which had to be the most fun I ever had playing a show.

Graeme was also a TVP, live for a few years, and was also behind the band Miss Mend.

Nice tribute, Pip. I must have met him once as Ged, Kev and I interviewed the Projects before a Water Rats gig. The interview is . Lovely people.
