During the extended gloom that listening to Radio Nottingham Forest commentaries has become of late I idly looked up summariser John McGovern. I'd forgotten that he never won a senior Scotland cap. Yes, there was a time when Scotland felt able to do without a player who twice lifted the European Cup as captain. A quick check revealed two other European Cup- winning captains who never won a senior cap. Any guesses? (one is easier than the other). |

Phil Neal was an England full-back for years. The other one is definitely a look-up job. So much so that I've just realised I've forgotten his name... |
