Those who remember the late 70s/early 80s charity-chic funsters might be interested to read their biog on Spotify, which runs as follows: By combining the American styles of ragtime, country, and 1977 punk, it's safe to say that the Nightingales stick out in their native of Rovaniemi, Finland. After self-releasing their first single "Just Another Friday Afternoon"/"I Read the News," Jukka Pirttijarvi (guitar/vocals), Jorma Pirttijarvi (piano/organ/accordian), Arvi Makitulkkila (drums), and Marko Kantola (vocals/bass) would eventually sign to Hiljaiset Levyt and release a slew of albums throughout the '90s.
