To be fair to Muse, whilst it is difficult to analyse them in isolation to a lot of their music, they are an incredible live band. Saw them a few times when I was a fan when I was younger and they really are exceptional. The Strokes, on the other hand, have always been terrible live. I presume NME's average readership age must've risen drastically in the last few years for so many of them to have seen Hendrix and Zeppelin in their pomp. Interesting... |

I see it as no different to when Take That used to win best band in the universe at the Smash Hits poll winners party. What would you expect the readers of Smash Hits to pick? Add N To X (brackets involved somewhere there)? |
