Anyone who has been to gigs at the Hackney Trashbar and, like me, decided never to go back there because of the awful sound, will be interested to know that the old sound engineer is no longer there and that a new sound system is now in place, courtesy of one of London's best, Professor Blinding.
Sound at last nights Masonics/Jonah Gold & His Silver Apples/Sundae Kups gig was absolutely fine.

Hackney Trash Bar has bitten the dust. I guess it established a reputation early on for bad sound and no draft beer, both problems that have since been solved. Unfortunately they never seemed to recover form this poor start and dwindling crowds forced it into financial problems; a shame because it had become a pretty good little venue in the last couple of months.
Most of the scheduled gigs there are being switched to other venues. Theee Bat, Atomic Suplex & The London Dirthole Company's show on 6th Oct, will now be at The Stag's Head. The Janey & The Ravemen, Higher State & The Felines show on Oct 13th, will now be at the Shacklewell Arms.
