Apparently the Mail has been attempting to smear Peelie, bracketing him with Savile. Decent defence of the old legend here: Anyone read any of his autobiographies? Any references to his sexual predilictions? |

I read his autobiography. He made it quite clear that he "deflowered" quite a lot of young girls during his time in America. There's little of his sexual activities mentioned after he met Sheila. |

One other thing the book mentions is that Peel was raped while he was at boarding school. I think in his early teens, possibly by a member of the school staff. Can't remember the exact details now. |

I can highly recommend Jimmy Savile's auto-biography "As It Happens" written in the mid-70s. I got it earlier this year & it's full of stories about him & teenage girls. Do you think he spread the rumour about him fucking corpses in Stoke Mandeville Hospital to through people off the scent of his digging of the new flesh? |

I knew Jimmy Saville was an abuser - come on, with his dodgy easy access tracksuit bottoms, he is the blue print of a sexual abuser. I did not think he was an amazing man and in fact my whole family used to cringe at him and his 'orchestrated' eccentric ways. He was the Norman Bates of music. And I hate the way people are saying 'He was too powerful'. NO he wasn't. There will be loads more further allegations against loads more dj's. Some of them will be founded and some will not - the BBC should tread carefully though because if the tax payers find out that they have been funding a 'playground' for sexual predators of under age impressionable kids there will be hell to pay. |
