Have heard lots of TNV and have liked Cause Comotion for years. Haven't heard Beachniks (I really like that name) or Proto Idiot so will check them out next time I'm online on computer rather than phone. Same with your link and blog, Kev. Lookin forward to it! |

Surprised Trev didn't mention the Hairs! Keel Her is pretty no-fi, until her new single. Early Cloud Nothings, Sic Alps. Mikal Cronin isn't exactly lo-fi but he's a buddy of Ty Segall's. And of course, the original Flying Nun was lo-fi central if you want to go that far back (the Great Unwashed are a fave). |

Good call on The Hairs Ged. And the band they formed out of Knight School. Both released by me at some point! Probably loads I have forgotten. Different sounding but home recorded The Wednesday Club are Lo-fi. What else? Racking my brains here but I should just look at my 7s from the last few years. Golden Grrrls possibly? Playlounge? |

The first Vines single sounded like it was recorded in a septic tank and was all the better for it. And I loved The Suns one below: |

Everything ever recorded by The Manhattan Love Suicides was 'home recorded'. Probably my favourite band of all time. Yes. I mean that. |
