I love Danny Baker but last night's show about Rock LPs was awful. Why have Clarkson on if you're not going to argue with him and why have the young woman on at all when she wasn't even alive pre- 1987? |

Love DB as a radio broadcaster and am even a member of the Platinum Club, but that program was piss poor. Poor choice of guests, dull conversation and they didn't even play any music from any of the chosen albums. I had set the video to record the three programs but after the first one cancelled the timer. |

I'm Copper Committee. Danny Baker just doesn't do TV well, the need to keep to a structure makes him stilted and his carefully corny phrases that work on the radio just sound crap on TV. Generally radio loves an hour of people chatting. TV doesn't. Worst Baker moment since his tedious self-important rant about getting the boot from BBC London. Oh and he doesn't stop doing that twee little 'ah' whenever he finds something'delightful then I might stop listening Saturdays. |
