Too many to mention. But if we just go for one each for now then I'll say that this from 2008 is still growing on me five years on. It took a few listens but it's pure genius. Then when you think it can't get any better THERE'S A BLOODY KEY CHANGE!!!!! Parts & Labor - Nowhere's Nigh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOiL9q4iFZk |

The Hospitals ... Sick Bird I can't find an on-line link for it, but it's my favourite 45 of the last decade or so. |

If the classic thread is still running in 5 years, this might make it. It's the Humms and Are You Dead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84l7q32Z1Ck |

I'm with BJ on Dum Dum Girls (in fact that album seems to still be growing, the whole thing could be a classic) and that Sleepy Jackson track is awesome too. This lot have got half a dozen classics. Here's one - and it's free to download too. Sambassadeur - Subtle Changes https://soundcloud.com/labrador-records ... le-changes |

Am I the only one on here at all taken with La Luz? Of all the bands I've posted in the new music forum, I'd have thought that they were the most SXP friendly. |

I've just been reviewing the new single by The High Wire (which is very good by the way) but it made me go and listen to this song again. It's from their 2010 album The Sleep Tape and it was love at first listen and it's still sounding mind-blowingly beautiful. When I did my top 30 songs of 2010 this was at number 2. The song to keep it from the top spot was Sandy Dunes by Sambassadeur which you can't really argue with. Anyway, the words "Fucking" and "masterpiece" spring to mind.
