Now, my views on post rock and Mogwai in particular are well known but... their soundtrack to French horror/supernatural thriller The Returned is simply stunning. |

Agree 100% about both prog and soundtrack. Half way through the series and it's kept up the atmosphere, and the air of mystery and intrigue superbly. Wonderful cast too, and the music only enhances the tension in the most elegiac way. Of course it could still veer off the road and get silly - but it gives me hope. |

I review quite a lot of Scandinavian post-rock (Finland is a right little hotbed at the moment) and not a great deal of it is "loud". It's certainly atmospheric at times but not really noisy. |

Mogwai's The Hawk Is Howling has come on shuffle, bits of that are right up this street: I'm Jim Morrison, I'm Dead and Local Authority in particular. And The Sun Smells Too Loud is positively poppy. Tv series is still great too, still not sure how long it can hold back the hokum. |

Episode 4 was great, episode 5 was just a plot spinner. 3 more for this series and clearly this is going to a series 2. |
