My favourite album made it in at number 10. Bill Callahan. I like Sleaford Mods and Thee Oh Sees, too. Not sure about the rest, to be honest. The National can go suck a fuck, though. Awful band. In the tracks of year nice to see The Wolfhounds (released on Odd Box, natch) in there. And Girl One & The Grease Guns. |

I posted my top 14 albums on the odd box blog a few weeks ago, I haven't attempted a list for singles/tracks as I'd have been there for weeks trying to whittle it down: 1. Dream River – Bill Callahan (Drag City) 2. Pearl Mystic – Hookworms (Gringo) 3. How Many Times Have You Let Me Die – The Blanche Hudson Weekend (Odd Box) 4. De Flechettes – Ela Orleans and Skitter (Clan Destine) 5. Trace The Tension – Cars Can Be Blue (HHBTM) 6. Dress Up – The Spook School (Fortuna Pop) 7. First Base – First Base (Hozac) 8. Anaesthesiology – Onsind (Discount Horse) 9. Weird Sister – Joanna Gruesome (Fortuna Pop) 10. Antenna To The Afterworld – Sonny And The Sunsets (Polyvinyl) 11. Now That You Are A Dancer – Kid Canaveral (Fence) 12. Tricolore – Haiku Salut (How Does It Feel To Be Loved) 13. Passing Strange – The Wednesday Club (Cath’n'Dad) 14. Run Fast – The Julie Ruin (Dischord) |

I got two albums in the lower reaches (Beaulieu Porch and Elephant Stone) and managed four in the tracks list (Veronica Falls, Girl One And The Grease Guns, Hospital Ships and Azure Blue). I've got my top 30 tracks sorted for my site. I'll post those tomorrow. As for The National - I'm neither here nor there really... |

Right on cue, it's Trev's "I hate the National" post. Sadly, the bookies refused to offer odds. It was always going to win, cos there's several of us like them. Nice to see a mainstream rock album at the top. FotL in second are just ace. If the Leg had released earlier, might've sneaked them in. |

Looking at Trev's list, I did put Kid Canaveral pretty high - that's a great album. Though I was tempted to vote again for Singing Adams, that's what I've kept coming back to this year. |

Nice to see La Luz in the albums, but no Shannon & The Clams or London Dirthole Company. Surely some mistake? |

No Sad Day For Puppets at all! They was robbed! Also surprised the Veronica Falls album didn't make it. |
