Atmosphere - Joy Division Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order You Stole the Sun From My Heart - Manics It Can Be Done! - Redskins There is Power in a Union - Billy Bragg Different reasons. First is just a general mood thing. The next two are specific to a person. The last two are political (nothing gets my tear ducts working faster than TU politics) |

Sometimes you can't make it on your own - U2 - I associate it with my dad - and my ballsy attitude. The Stranger Song - Leonard Cohen - experiences with men He's Misstra Know it all - Stevie Wonder - no idea why I cry at this but I do. Love is a losing game - Amy Winehouse - it's the way she sings it. Everything I do, I do it for you - Bryan Adams - played at my father's funeral as Robin Hood was the last film that he saw and everything he did do was for us. Even now, two decades or more later, when it comes on, I fight back the tears. Unfortunately it was played everywhere for so long - it nearly finished me off ![]() |

Not a musical blubberer as a rule but the Theme from Cheers - 'cos my mate who died many years ago now used to play it and it was played at the end of his funeral. (Such a lovely bloke. If you have the first ever episode of Cracker, he's in it fleetingly right near the beginning. Just after the lecture when Fitz chucks textbooks at assembled students - who were also mostly people I know - Fitz is in the student union losing on the fruity, my mate walks past and tells him it was a great lecture.) and two for absoutely no particular reason White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane (something aboutt he way it builds) and right at the end of Lost in Translation when Just Like Honey kicks in. |
