Went to see the 1987 film Candy Mountain at the ICA on Sunday. The cast included Tom Waits, Joe Strummer, Dr John, David Johanssan, Leon Redbone, Arto Lindsay and Mary Margret O'Hara, all in straight acting roles. So I was thinking, which musicians turned actors cut the mustard and which stink the place out.
